SMA announces Midland's expansion

SMA Group have today confirmed their latest multi-million pound Auction Centre will be the purpose built site in Birmingham. Bob Anderson, Managing Director at SMA Group said, "This is great news for everyone concerned with SMA Group. We have been planning the Birmingham centre for months and we are delighted with the plans and how this Auction Centre will serve the Midland's region for both vendors and buyer's alike. Having spoken to our existing vendors and buyer's, they are all one in welcoming our expansion into the Midlands. I am personally delighted to be creating over 140 jobs for the local economy."

The site will be the first purpose built Auction Centre for many years in the United Kingdom and gives SMA Group the chance to deliver a state of the art facility that reflects all of the reasons why the ITM (Institute Transport Management) have recently awarded SMA the cherished 'The Best Remarketing Company 2010'.

The site will feature; full D-Fleet and PDI facilities with a full body shop on site too. Opening in late 2010, the Auction Centre will open up with a full sales program. The Management team of Jon Lee and Nigel Binks commented, "We are confident of creating something really special here! It's a fantastic venue and with it being purpose built we can ensure we have the region's leading Auction Centre from day one".

Nigel continued by saying, "It is very important to us that the investment in the local economy will provide much needed employment opportunities for local people in these uncertain economic times".
