Record Week of Sales for SMA

A record performance during week commencing January
10th at SMA Vehicle Remarketing reflects the demand for
high quality used stock and SMA's own success in expanding its
vendor base to offer an even wider range of
stock.
Nationally the team at SMA has worked to increase the levels of
stock available both at its network of auction centres and through
its on-line auction services. The combination of innovation
and service that is the hallmark of the SMA approach has seen a
number of new vendors switching to SMA as their preferred
remarketing supplier, with Nidd Vale Motor and Ringway motor groups
the latest to start reaping the benefit of the SMA approach over
recent weeks.
Increased supply has in turn increased the level of buyers both
on-line and on site, the result has been record sales. The
most recent auction at Leeds saw yet another 100% sales conversion
of Motability stock, plus selling over 1200 vehicles from Leeds
across one week and overall sales volumes and conversions are
at record levels nationally.
Commenting on the positive start to the year, Group managing
Director Bob Anderson notes; "We have all been well aware that
this year availability of stock would be central to success.
To this end the SMA team has been working successfully, both
locally and nationally to increase our vendor customer base. Our
growing network of auction centres, reputation for service, breadth
of offer, including on site technical services for refurbishment
work and our success in creating high quality buyer footfall have
all contributed to the record results we are now
delivering.
In a year when stock is likely to be in short supply, the
capacity to remarket the stock effectively will be key to
increasing sales volumes. The momentum of our ongoing growth

easy to both sell and buy".
