SMA Sees Record Activity Levels in Janaury
Activity levels were at a record high across the entire SMA
Vehicle Remarketing business in January, with the auction network
and on-line services all recording strong demand, something that
was reflected in the core key performance indicators:
- Record unit sales volumes
- Record conversion levels
The SMA business has seen a growing trend in both buyer and
vendor activity over the last four months and there is clearly a
strong demand for stock at the start of the year as buyers look to
increase stock levels into the new year.
Managing Director Bob Anderson observes:
"There has been a tremendous effort across the business to
increase vendor activity over recent months in response to strong
levels of buyer demand. A number of recent auctions have
achieved 100% conversion levels, which clearly indicates the
interest in well-prepared stock. The results of recent
auctions continue to show that preparation is clearly important to
both conversion levels and price with vendors using our on-site
preparation facilities gaining a valuable edge that we can really
measure".
Having the right stock is clearly
essential to increasing sales activity. In this regard, SMA's
distinctive approach and facilities has seen the business winning a
host of new friends over recent months. Customer focus and
imagination in product development have significantly added to the
appeal of SMA and both buyers and vendors are evidently
benefitting.
