New to LiveBid?

LiveBid is SMA's online bidding technology, that allows you to log into a sale from your computer, and bid, real time, on the vehicles we offer at all of our auction centres. It is only open to Trade Account holders who have registered with us. So you can bid on cars in Kinross, from your desk in London, and together with our comprehensive transport services, have them arrive, hassle free, and opening up a whole new range of vendors and stock, that would otherwise be too far away to bid on. The screen will both let you see the cars drive through, and listen to the auctioneer as he sells the vehicle. This service can only be offered once we have received a completed registration which will require verification and acceptance.

There are two types of LiveBid Sale:

LiveBid

These vehicles are uninspected cars, generally trade and dealer Part Exchange stock, and these are sold as seen. You are welcome to view the cars at the site prior to the sale, likewise feel free to ring the site for answers to specific vehicle details.

LiveBid Plus

These are fully inspected cars, that are displayed with a full condition report. We stand by this report, so if the car is delivered and not as described, then we will take it back. So peace of mind purchasing. This stock tends to be Fleet and Finance company vehicles, which can also be viewed prior to sale, or detail clarified via a phone call.

BuyItNow

Our exclusive Buy It Now service has now launched for SMA Account Holders.  A selection of fully inspected vehicles which are accompanied by a full condition report with accompanying images. Vehicles purchased thorough Buy It Now are available to buy immediately so no need to wait for the next sale when you need to stock up. All vehicles can be delivered to your door and with the addition of our technical services division the vehicle can be prepared ready to retail.  Why not use this section to increase your forecourt offering and encourage more customers. Once you have sourced a vehicle simply click to buy and we will do the rest.

Live Bid - Technical Set-up

Below is step by step instructions on how to run the initial set up for the new Sma Livebid. The first time you try the set up you may come across a couple of problems with Firewalls etc. Once you have set up once the programme will start up with no problems at all in the future. Live Bid - Minimum System Requirements

• Broadband Connection to the Internet
• Internet Explorer 5.5 or later
• Unreal Media Player 5 (Download)
• Microsoft Silverlight 2 (Download)
• Adobe Reader for viewing Condition Reports (Download)
• Pentium III processor or similar with at least 128 MB memory
• Windows 98 or later
• Screen resolution of at least 800x640
• Firewall IP opened on Http Port 4502

General

• Do not download anything whilst bidding as this may affect the performance of Live Bid on your PC
• Avoid having multiple browser windows open as this may also affect performance
• Prior to bidding, view the sales catalogue for the auction that you intend to participate in so that you know what is being auctioned
