standard of environmental awareness is essential to minimise
detrimental effects but also to produce a more acceptable and
healthier environment for work and social activities.
To achieve these objectives and minimise environmental impact
the following points must be considered.
- Ensuring that all employees are aware of the aspects of current
legislation relevant to the activities they become involved
in.
- Careful selection and use of materials/substances.
- Store and use of oils, fuels and chemicals in such a way that
minimises the possibility of ground water contamination.
- Controlling noise, dust and vehicle movement which may cause
offence to the local community or environment.
This policy will be reviewed on a regular basis or in light of
legislative or organisational changes.
